King Tutz Herbal Incense Review

Posted August 22nd, 2011 by IncenseKing

King Tutz Herbal Incense was given to us by Legal Enjoy: The Herbal Incense store. Now to be honest we were not expecting much from this blend as it is only $3/g retail. Its even cheaper($1.3/g) when you buy an ounce. However, we were wrong!

Upon first opening the bag it smelled absolutely delicious. You almost want to take a spoon and eat it up!  The herbs were made of a fine marshmallow leaf, which is usually the best in terms of a nice slow burn. It did have some small stem peaces, but nothing to make the blend extremely harsh. It was very fluffy and had a smooth texture.

Upon putting it in our  incense burner we found our aromatherapy session to last longer then we would expect for a cheap blend(1 hour), after all it was recommended for people new to aromatherapy. The blend was not overwhelming. It  kicked in nice and slow,   and we actually found it to be one of those mellow but long lasting blends, something we would expect for noob friendly blend but at half the price.

We wanted to be fair when reviewing this blend, so we brought along a friend who is new to aromatherapy for a session. He absolutely loved it! He reported it to have a perfect balance and considered it strong, while lasting 2 hours. He loved it so much that he did a couple of more sessions afterwards.

At $40 an ounce this blend is amazing. For novices and daily use this blend is perfect as it is not overwhelming and definitely the best deal we have seen anywhere. We highly recommend this blend for novices,  however more experienced users should purchase "The Legendary" blend made by the same people who make "King Tutz."

Fire Herbal Incense: Inferno Review

Posted August 19th, 2011 by IncenseKing

"Inferno" Review

Fire Herbal Incense's brick and mortar approach (I received my samples in zip-lock bags with a little sticker) goes to show you can't always judge the proverbial “book” by its cover in the case of Inferno. Their site seems to primarily focus on wholesale orders, but they still tend to any orders all the way down to a gram.
Inferno's spicy yet somewhat bland aroma induces a heavy sensation, as if you're being dragged down... to hell—not in a negative respect, and it's not just a partial pun. In fact it produces an interesting weighty feeling rather unique to this brand. If you burn large quantities, in some way or another you may find yourself partially incapacitated and/or glued to the furniture in a state of total comatose. For a more casual gathering, perhaps say at a party, Fire Herbal's other appropriately labeled House Blend is a better choice in a larger social setting. That's not to say you shouldn't take the plunge into the inferno, you probably just won't end up the life of the party, let alone have much life left to party—but if you're having a good time that's all that matters, right?
FHI took obvious priorities with Infernoscent takes the back baby seat to the driving strength. Thankfully the rank aroma can be validated by its strength, keeping it from being a stinker. The House Blend is a bit smoother and “house-friendly,” it won't foul the place up as much.
The price list is what really caught my eye. At the lowest level, any purchase of Inferno between 1-13g runs for just$6/g (House Blend is $3/g). Larger orders increase the discount rate. Inferno may not quite be a third degree burn, but it comes closeWith price in the picture though, you really can't go wrong with jumping through the fire at least once, and I wouldn't be surprised if burning this potent value incense becomes a ritual for some.

Zero Gravity Incense Review

Posted August 14th, 2011 by IncenseKing

Zero Gravity Incense. A few of my friends have gotten busted for possession lately, a couple of them more than once. One of them heard something about a legal alternative that suppposedly gets you high and we found it at a headshop where I'm living. It's called Zero Gravity and it is labeled as an herbal incense and not for human consumption. It goes for $30 for 3g and comes in different scents like Trainwreck and Cherry Cola.

We bought some, smoked it and were amazed. It's just like the high you get from smoking weed with all the same side effects, like munchies. As I mentioned before, a bunch of my friends have gotten busted and have had to quit smoking because they drop, so they've been buying a couple hundred dollars worth of this stuff at a time to smoke. I bought some because I quit smoking when I moved in with my dad, and smoked sparingly out of my bowl and a 3g bag lasted a week. A couple of my friends though, were rolling it in blunts, and went through 3g in a night.
Can anyone could tell me anything more about it? The ingredients are listed as: marshmallow leaf, wild dagga, blue lotus, white lotus, and pink lotus.

After further investigation I found it contains Synthetic THC that is 100% legal. I also found a site that sells it the cheapest, only $6/g.

Burning Man Incense Review

Posted August 14th, 2011 by IncenseKing

Burnin' Man... Like the name, cool play on the popular hippy fest and other euphemisms. The packaging itself is sleek with a pretty cool but blown-up low resolution image of a flaming skull. Despite this the labeling is crystal clear making for a bit of design disparity. Anyhow, this is not really too significant in the overall evaluation of the product--onto the herbs.

The herbs themselves are a little moist in a good way. There are some very nicely formed herbs in the blend, a good number of stems, then absolutely huge stems. Perhaps chunks is a more suitable description. I'm talking tree trunk chunks. In all three bags I received there were at least 4 or so of these large masses I didn't feel too inclined to burn on account of its predictable harshness. Even a feeble attempt proved futile as the chunks were difficult to light and remain lit. The verdict--a slight waste of net weight.

The smell of Blueberry is succulent enough, albeit not the freshest blueberry scent you'll encounter. Hypnotic has a more palpable scent from the bag that carries well to the aroma, and call me crazy (which you can) but I got the senseHypnotic was more berry-like than Blueberry.

Lighting the incense produces thick clouds of smoke. The aroma is heavy but effective, producing a heady sensation for about 10 minutes or so before waning slowly to a fade in say, the next 20-30 minutes. Approximate retail value is set around $22.99/3g (~$7.66/g). It's a good one to try, but my hunch tells me again the price is a little too high for what's inside.

Bayou Blaster Incense Review

Posted August 10th, 2011 by IncenseKing

Having only tried Bayou Blaster from Dascent's product line-up due to local availability, I hope to sample the rest of their inventory when possible.

Depending on which scent you purchased, the aromas vary significantly. A sniff of the original is a kick in the nose, very pungent. The Strawberry variety maintains the pungency to the nostrils but is sweet and savory to the palette. The Sugar Cane scent is much smoother and my personal favorite.
After lighting the incense, effects are almost immediately noticeable and very pleasant. The aroma produces a rush that lasts for around 15 minutes depending on amount burnt, followed by mild waves of pleasing psychedelia noticeable for up to over an hour later.

Barely Legal Incense and Barely Legal Express Reviewed

Posted August 8th, 2011 by IncenseKing
Barely Legal Incense was remade to be 50 state legal and this is what we are reviewing. They also switched their packaging net weight to 1.5g... and guess what? Weighed straight from a sealed package, it actually adds up to 1.5g. Glad to see the shortage controversy may be a thing of the past with their new packages.
In addition to their integrity/public image, Barely Legal Incense improved both the texture, look and herbs in the blend as well as the scent itself. The aroma packs the same heavy punch with 1.5x more product (more if you consider the aforementioned shortage in BL 1st gen) at a reduced price; ~$14.99/g SRP straight from the official website and ~$4-6 wholesale. The scent is closer to chocolate and coffee now rather than the quasi-tobacco stench of the original.
Bravo for the revamp of the Barely Legal label. In addition to this, they have released another in the product line,Barely Legal Express. Listed as being "75% the aroma as Barely Legal", as well as the same herbal arrangement and scent. Otherwise technically it's just a matter of burning a little more Express to achieve virtually the same aromatic effects as Barely Legal. This is a review of the original scent, which smells like a strange symbiosis of sugared coffee and cigarettes.

Express provides a more economical alternative for those who may find Barely Legal a bit pricey on store shelves, or too potent. It also preserves the first generation BL's herbal blend for legacy purposes I suppose, the strange mix of clumped powder and stems... these are odd looking blends yet undeniably effective in their execution.

StrengthBarely Legal (9.4/10), Barely Legal Express (8.3/10)
AromaBarely Legal (8/10), Barely Legal Express (8/10)
Overall: Barely Legal (9.2/10), Barely Legal Express (8.6/10)

What is Herbal Incense FAQ: Everything You Need to Know

Posted July 4th, 2011 by IncenseKing

Herbal Incense FAQ. Herbal incense was once commonly used to freshen up the smell of our homes, however nowadays it has an alternate purpose. The purpose of being legal weed! This is a complete FAQ for those of you who ever wanted to know what herbal incense is. We interviewed Rusty, a very experienced user, to tell us everything we need to know.

1) What is herbal incense?

Herbal incense is basically a new way to get high. Its effects are just like marijuana and considered better by many.

2) Why would someone use this versus regular MJ?

1) This is legal and you may carry it anywhere you want. You can travel with it on airplanes and in your car without paranoia of getting busted. 2) While smoking it, people will never know what you are smoking because its smell is nothing like MJ’s. In fact most smell delicious and taste even better. 3) It is cheaper than MJ. 4) It is perfect for those on probation as it will NEVER show up on a drug test.

3) Are you sure this won’t show up on a drug test?

100% sure! It cannot show because a) drug tests never test for these substances b) It doesn’t contain any trace of THC or any illegal compound c) Finally, even if someone knew you smoked it, they could not do a thing because it is a 100% legal!

Update: Since incense products have gotten popular, certain states and countries are banning them. There is no testing for synthetic drug use in the USA as of 7/25/11, however certain countries are trying to pass a law to do this.

3.1) If a cop pulls me over while I have a pipe and herbal incense on me, can he arrest me?

Legally a cop cannot arrest as there is nothing illegal in it, however I think we all know cops and how they love to abuse their power and may likely try to arrest you for alternate reasons. Also, if you are intoxicated driving abusively they will obviously get you on that. Basically, don't risk it. Avoid getting into situations like these, no point in risking it.

Update: Since the popularity of incense, some states are banning incense products. Thus it is wise to keep it on the down-low from the cops.

4) How is it legal?

It’s legal because it doesn’t contain any THC or illegal chemicals. It is important to note that laws keep updating to ban these synthetic chemicals so beware their might already be a ban in your state. However manufacturers keep coming out with new versions to keep it legal.

5) How does it work?

Instead of using THC it uses synthetic cannabinoids. Synthetic cannabinoids are molecules that mimic THC’s effects but are molecularly different and are thus legal. Some  herbal incenses use all natural plant extracts to make MJ's effects but are expensive. Note that we will review all natural incenses too. Another term used for synthetic cannabinoids are research chemicals (RC).

6) Why does it say not for human consumption?

While it is okay to sell these to people, it is not legal for sellers to suggest smoking it. Smoking it means it is FDA approved for safe use. Since it isn’t FDA approved, sellers cannot legally suggest smoking, but they may still sell it for non-consumption use. Hence, they call it an herbal incense or potpourri.

7) Is this stuff as horrible as the stuff sold on legalbuds.c0m?

This stuff is considered by many as an equivalent to marijuana in terms of effects and potency. It is not a marketing mastermind designed to rip people off.

8.) Is it safe to smoke?

Yes, many people worldwide are regularly smoking incense products and statistically have not reported any negative effects to smoking it; however, like any product, some tiny percentage of people will have complications. Also, many media corporations will try to convince the public it is awful and unsafe to prevent them from using it. This is the same method they use to prevent the people from using marijuana. For example they say "MJ kills brain cells and makes you stupid" etc. Dont fall for their propaganda.

8.1) How do newbs use it? is it for everyone?

If you are knew to herbal incense, it is highly recommended you take it slowly. Dont go crazy taking a 1000 hits waiting for  an effect! The rule is to do it in moderation, especially for beginners. Take only 1 hit, wait a minute or two and then see how you feel. If you think you can handle more and you feel fine, continue taking 2 hits at a time and wait 3 minutes. If you dont feel good or feel ill then it is best to stop and accept that incense is not for you. This is a cautious approach, more then likely it will work great and you will love it!

9) what research has been done with the chemicals used in herbal incenses?

It is rumored that Canadian scientists have conducted studies with the synthetic cannabinoids and have found that it helps patients with cancer.

That's all we have for now. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask in the comments below!
